FAQ

  • How do I book an Event?

We have a wide variety of packages available to fit most budgets! You can use our online form under the contact link to book to appointment or you can give us a call 412-951-5756 or send an email beaniepaints@gmail.com. Please note that all parties and events are reserved on a "first come, first serve" basis. Your date and time requested is based on availability and location of your event is not always guaranteed. Therefore, we recommend booking at least 3 weeks before your event. You can book up to three months in advance! Your date & time are only secure with a $50 non-refundable deposit for events under $300. Events over $300 will require a 50% nonrefundable deposit.

  • What products do you use?

I use FDA approved water based body paints for most events. My paints are generally purchased from www.sillyfarm.com or www.jestpaints.com If you have an allergic reaction please seek medical help. Understanding that everyone is different and may have reactions please feel free to ask about products used. Aloe is used in some body glitter and latex is used to or sprit gum to adhere gems.

  • How do I take the paint off?

Warm soap and water is an easy fix to remove paint from the skin. At times the adhesive for the gems will come off and a sticky residue will be left on the skin. This can be removed with rubbing alcohol.

    How far will you travel?

I love to travel! Reasonably, I will travel up to 20 miles from downtown Pittsburgh Pennsylvania with no travel charge. Any event that is located more than 20 miles away will incur a roundtrip $1.00 per mile charge to your total package cost. Feel free to contact us for quotes regarding situations not addressed within our rate list and we will do our best to accommodate your specialized interests. Beanie Paint's commercial day-rate starts at $1400, plus all travel expenses covered.

  • What venues will you entertain?

We can travel to any type of party venue, but please keep in mind that some venues have their own guidelines and restrictions. Please check to see if your venue allows outside entertainment to perform before booking with us.

  • Will you paint outdoors?

Outdoor venues are always welcome! However, if you are planning an outdoor event, always have a backup plan in case of bad weather. “Pittsburgh weather is very unpredictable at times.” We ask that you provide accommodations Beanie in the event of bad weather, wind or extreme heat. We require a clean, dry area free of dirt and mud. Please let us know on your reservation form if your event will be outdoors.

  • Do I need to have a reserved parking space Beanie?

We ask that you please make sure that we have a safe place to park at your event. Beanie’s Face and Belly will be wearing either a purple smock or a purple shirt with the company name.

  • What happens if a guest becomes ill, upset, or misbehaves?

WE are NOT babysitters. Beanie is only responsible for entertaining and engaging the children in party activities. Any behavioral or health-related issues with children must be taken care of by a parent/guardian or party host. Good behavior is always promoted, but it is the responsibility of the child’s parents or party host to monitor and take care of any children who are misbehaving or do not want to participate in the party activities. Children will not be painted who are crying, can’t keep still, generally under two years of age and or need to be held down.

  • Does it matter how many guests I invite?

Yes! Our party packages are specifically designed for your party. You can pre-select full face; half face or quarter face deigns. Changing the variance of your package will also affect the price and time allotted. Please let your guest know beforehand that the child will be selecting from your choices: (Full face, ½ face or ¾ face designs. This is to ensure that each child will have the opportunity to have their face or arm painted at your event in the allotted time, that we have enough materials for all guests at the party. If you have more than 15 children in attendance you will need to purchase an additional hour(s).

  • What if a guest arrives late?

All parties will begin and end at the time scheduled and agreed upon by Beanie’s Face and Belly Painting & the party host. We recommend having our Body Painter arrive about 20-30 minutes after the guest’s arrival time to ensure that everyone is present and has had time to settle in. Late guests are welcome to join in upon their arrival.

  • What if Beanie arrives late?

We advise our Body Painter to be at or near the party location at least 15 minutes before the agreed upon start time. However, in the unlikely event that a performer is late to an event, he or she will stay extra to make up that time if permissible. If our Body Painter is more than an hour late to your event a discount will be applied.

How can my child or party be featured on Beanie’s Face & Belly Painting website, social media, or advertising?

We are always looking for more pictures to fill our photo galleries, social media accounts, and advertisements! With the permission of the child’s parent/guardian and by signing our party agreement, you consent to our using any photos you choose to send us Beanie’s Face & Belly Painting will typically not be taking any of our own photos during your event.

You can email us photos from your child’s special day at beaniepaints@gmail.com, post on our Facebook page: Beanie’s Face & Belly Painting, LLC, or tag us on Instagram: @beaniepaints. We assure you that your child’s personal information will never be shared with anyone.

  • What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

We understand that life happens, so if you have an emergency and need to reschedule the date or time of your event after booking, we will try to accommodate you as best we can and will apply your initial payment to another date/time as a one-time courtesy. All changes to date and/or time must occur at least 14 days prior to your event. Any changes made after that time will result in a cancellation. An event can only be rescheduled once.

  • Cancellation Policy

In the event of bad weather, serious illness, or other unforeseen emergencies, we reserve the right to cancel the event and offer an alternative date if available. If cancellation by Beanie’s Face & Belly Painting occurs, a full refund of your payment will be issued.

Once the non-refundable deposit is put down we reserve your date and time. If a cancellation occurs the $50 deposit will not be refunded.

  • Body Painting & Model Prep

How to prepare for your body painting session will take a little bit of time on your end. Here are some helpful tips.

    1. your session will take no less than an hour of you sitting, standing and being in different position. Please remember to bring snacks and take breaks when you need them.

    2. Ladies come with shaved skin, men with trimmed body hair, and NO OIL OR LOTION on your body. This is very important as it will affect the paint’s adhesion!

    3. Bring a robe.
